If you are a person who enjoys just sitting back and pretending you are in the depths of a safari then this is the game for you. Great Game!

I bought this for my son who is seven and I wanted to get him interested in hunting.I was a little worried at first that he may think the game was boring as real hunting sometimes is,but from the very beginning of the game it had lots more action than I expected and he played it for six hours before it was his bed time.To keep the attention of a seven year old for that long speaks for itself.The only problem is I wanted to take the controller away and play it myself.I have not played any of the other Cabela hunting games so I can't compare it to them,but if they are as fun as this one I would recommend them to anyone.I would recommend this game for anyone of any age.It is fun and it starts to get more challenging to achieve your mission objectives as you get further into the game.My son is on level three and it is more challenging than the first two were and I am sure this trend will continue,but there is still action and you gradually learn little tricks of the trade if you are new to hunting.So I do not see how this game would disappoint,even if you are not a hunting expert,but still fun and challenging even if you are a hunting expert(or at least think you are).The graphics are great as with most xbox 360 games and the controller setup and the format are easy to get the hang of.So far I have not seen anything that I would change if I were a game designer,but I have only gotten to level three.So there may be things I dislike further into the game,but as of now it gets a 5/5 excellent rating from me.Read full review...

Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009 - Xbox 360

I am still trying the game out, but from the first few tries it is pretty hard to comprehend. The first campaign I played I lost without being in the game for 30 seconds. I didn't get to take a shot and the deer had already ran off and I had to restart. It would be nice if it gave you a chance to learn the controls before telling you that you lost and need to restart. I really liked the other Cabela's games but this one doesn't really seem great. Hopefully it will get better if I try it out a couple more times.Read full review...

kind of disappointed

Career mode was really short compaired to Playstation 2 version that I bought this to replace, thought it would take longer then maybe 10 hunts, five minutes each to complete. Really easy. Good graphics. Kill shots only angered animal instead of killing. Disappointed overall. Think maybe we got a game missing part of content.Read full review...
