Café de Flore
Café de Flore
Emotional film.
Don't check it out on the internet, don't spoil it for yourself.
Quite confusing all the way through as there appeared to be two unrelated stories going on. And the ending seemed quite muddled, until I started to realise the enormity of the plot, and it began to dawn on me what happened.
I had no idea what the film was about when I started watching, and the idea of a story about a mum and her disabled son didn't look appealing, but their acting was riveting and I was soon drawn in even though the story didn't look as if it was going anywhere.
The subtitles were a bit rapid for me, I had to keep winding back, but the main actress, Vanessa Paradis, is superb in holding the story together.
Café de Flore is the signature theme tune, and there are two versions of it in the film, adding to the intrigue. Lovely tunes, both.
Not your average romance, and yes, I had to reach for the Kleenex.Read full review
