This series is so entertaining and full of smiles, out right laughs and tears. We started watching it on Netflix but then decided to have the entire set of DVDs so we can watch it over and over and over again. The entire series is engaging —due not only to the characters and excellent performances, but the evolution of the story after the advent of the National Health Service in the UK after WWII. The individual stories that weave through many life-changing events reported during the early 50's through the mid-sixties, is like a look at a historical chronology, highlighting events I can recall as they happened.
