Oven Door Latch

Checked part number on a replacement latch for my Hotpoint HUD cooker. This item is the part, and is used by a number of manufacturers. The description on the sellers page described this also. This a a genuine part, and came packed in a sealed bag, bearing the logos' for a number of well known manufacturers of cookers. Went on Youtube, and picked up a video describing how to replace. With a little care and attention, it is very straightforward. Would mention that the holes in the lugs for the retaining screws are a little tight, so I would suggest driving a screw into the holes before fitting, thus slightly opening the hole, and making it easy to fit the reataining screws when the item is in position. Saved the cost of an extortionate price of a repair company supplying the part (which may not have been original), and fitting same, which with a little consideration and care, is fairly straightforward, and I am no mechanic. The item was sent quickly and well packed, and that was on standard delivery. Will use this vendor again if the need arises. Super Thanks.Read full review...

Good as new again! Just note that the screw holes are not tapped and need the threads cutting using the original self-tapping screws.

I was very pleased it came so quick.I would say that the threads were not right for the screws they only went in a little way so I had to force the screws in to get them tight so they were the wrong thread but other than that it is working great.Read full review...
