Decent lower priced alternative to the L glass
It is a bit noisy when using the image stabilization, but it works as advertised. Paired with the 6D I consider it slow to focus. I am not trying to shoot sports or other very fast activities, so there's no real heartache about it, but it's worth noting. i used to own the non IS version of the 75-300, and I like the bit of latitude in low light situations that the IS offers. Decently sharp images even at 4.0. Good value.Read full review

Soft Image at Large Aperture
The lens is not that good. At large aperture, the image is not sharp. You get want you paid for. Also the USM focus is very noise. I wish I had stayed with STM which might be cheaper too.

It is the lens I was looking for.
This lens is a perfect mate to my 24-104mm lens as it give a smooth transition from 24 all the way to 300 mm of crisp, sharp images. I have found it easy to focus manually with my EOS R, and thus more stable for HDR imaging.Read full review

Great image quality but USM motor is audible
This is my first experience with a USM lens. It was really amazing to work with. The image quality is great, it's very fast to autofocus - faster than the EF-S lenses I have. I wanted to upgrade from replace my ancient 70-300mm EF without image stabilization because it was slow to autofocus) - This lens is several steps up in all areas. Can't wait to use it for birds and other wildlife.
My only negative is that the image stabilizer motor definitely makes an audible noise - so it's a drawback for video work. Hence the 4-stars instead of 5. Read full review

Good quality, Great Value
Great value, love the image stabilizer feature on the lens. Lens does "wind out" out to full length when carrying, so you need to put on the lock feature to prevent this.

Good Lens
I own a couple of L series lenses, so I may be a little spoiled. However, for the price, this is a geat value! I mostly do outdoor sports, so the f stop on this lens is reasonable for daylight. I may not pull this one out for my indoor or evening shoots. I was looking to add something with a higher zoom to my bag, and this does the job quite well.Read full review

Mounted on a Canon 6D
Very good lens to own especially on a budget, sharp enough and fast enough to get a good picture on the fly. Very good on image stabilization when hand held and even works well on a Canon 6D night portrait hand held, (4 fast pics zoomed in at 300mm).Read full review

Great lens for your camera bag
I bought my first USM lens earlier this year and won’t look back. The quick quiet focus really makes snapping photos a breeze. I’ve been wanting a long zoom lens for a long time now. Not only does this lens take sharp photos, It fits my budget. Focusing on moving subject like cars and people is fast but focuses about 92% on target. Image stabilization is a welcome feature for my shaky hands. For the price, you can’t go wrong.Read full review

70-300mm Canon lens
One of the best canon lenses I have bought. Light weight, easy to handle no need for a tripod.

Nice lens in budget
Not L series, but good enough pictures quality if you have skills, little bit loud auto focus, but it is good lens for the money.
