The best Supertelephoto lens in the market

This is absolutely the best super telephoto lens that I have ever used. I own 300mm, 400mm version II from Canon. I also tried the new 600mm USM II. It was an excellent lens, but color rendition and quality of images from this lens even beats the new 600mm. If you need the focal length, then this lens has NO rivals.Read full review...

Greatest Nature Photography Lens Canon Makes

The Canon 800mm f/5.6 is a big, heavy lens that takes a while to get used to. You will be rewarded with images that other people will be jealous of. It is tack sharp wide open and only gets better stopped down. The IS works great.

The only drawbacks are the size and weight, a monopod is a must for extended shooting, a good tripod is strongly recommended.

For capturing distant objects like wildlife, nothing else comes close. F/5.6 is not super fast, but it is fast enough for almost all needs.

Best super telephoto lens

Really sharp, even with the aperture wide open. After wanting this lens for so long, I finally put up the cash and absolutely love it.

Incredible

It is an amazing lens! I've been asked a few times if the images are from NatGeo!

I would shoot at f5.6 at all time.

The images produced at f5.6 are sharper than anything from any lens I've ever seen. Color and contrast are both excellent. Focus is fast and accurate. A keeper!
