Great smaller flash for the Canon system.

I bought this flash to extend my shooting with the Canon G12. The flash is a simple one that needs no manuals to use. The flash controls are set in the camera menus. It works great for fill and bounce.
Battery life is good, recycle times are fair, and exposure is correct.
I was not able to use the wireless slave option.

Awesome little guy!

I was impressed by this light. I wanted a small flash since the model Canon EOS I want doesn't have one built in. They make the 90EX which is smaller but everyone said this one is much better while being only a little bigger and they are right. Great little flash that puts out a nice even flash, much more then the built in pop-up on most cameras. However, I am skeptical about the battery life, since it takes about a full minute to recycle after taking a few shots. I recently purchased the Canon EOS 6D which does not come with an on board built-in flash (which I never liked on DSLRs anyway). I use it when I need fill light in tricky lighting conditions and for the obvious low light conditions. It has adjustable vertical bounce capability which is quite useful. It can also be used as a slave.

Canon Speedlite 270EX II

I have used other flash units and they just don't integrate with the camera. this one does - you don't need ot think about it .. it just links and works. Its very helpful and makes taking photos in low light so much better.
