Bought for my daughter, 13 years old. A simple use and I have a Canon Camera too for my personel use so, she and I, we change lenses. A real good start for teens.

Canon never disappoints. For a beginner / intermediate there is nothing wrong with this camera. Comes with loads of help via websites / books and no shortage of lenses / accessories.

Great camera good image quality will be keeping for a long while.

Have used about 8 models of ixus all are great and do exactly what is required of them. decided to buy a DSLR after having a go with a friends eos 550d/rebel T1i. image quality is very good with like lens on each camera almost un noticeable difference on A4 size print with high quality printer. build quality is slightly cheaper than other canon eos/rebel but this camera is meant to be an entry level DSLR. video mode is good too 720p hd one touch button adds for ease of use. good selection of modes means there is always a good chance to get a good shot of what your looking at as long as you have the right lens. Canon 28-105 Telephoto USM lens without image stabiliser is perfect for this camera. sharpness is sometimes compromised in no flash mode. overall this camera is great at what it is designed to be, an entry level DSLR which is reasonably priced. flash could do with being just a little brighter.Read full review...
