Canon 700D with extra 55mm to 250mm Lens
Great camera for a beginner. The lens combinations are well chosen. Excellent value for money.
It took me a couple of hours to get used to the camera, and also the position and use of the buttons etc..
Pros: A nice lightweight DSLR that is easy to use. Great pictures at a great price.
Cons: The RAW pictures are not "RAW". They need to be converted via the bundled software.
The Video shots have to be converted via "Prism" or whatever before they can be usefully manipulated.
Well recommended. For the price you won't regret buying this kit. If you want to step up to to something better
you will be looking to spend between £1500 and £3000.Read full review

Great beginner's choice
The camera is a great and easy to use choice for beginner's into photography. Canon are said to have a very easy to use interface and layout. The Vari-angle screen is very good for taking photos at hard-to-get angles and is also useful for protecting the screen when not in use.
There are 9 autofocus points which are very handy when taking photography in auto, but can sometimes cause focusing to be a bit slow when using the screen rather than the viewfinder. This can be changed to single points or specific autofocus areas on the screen.
The camera is a good size and weight and has a nice grip to it. Battery life is quite good and usually holds enough energy to last a few hours of on-time.
Picture quality is excellent, and whilst 18MP may seem low for a modern DSLR, it is usually enough for any sort of photography, unless the photo is going to be blown up to very large sizes.
I bought my EOS 700D for £369.99 with a bundled flash, all BNIB, so for the price, I got a very good value product!Read full review

Excellent entry level camera
I battled a lot about getting this or the newest version T6I, after talking with several people in the industry and 25 you tube videos I decided to get this one because of the price. Easy to use, touch screen, mic adapter , flip out screen, everything you need for vlogging video or recreational photography.
The only thing that I complain is the low quality tripod this kit come with, I would pay $10 less for NO tripod at all, this thing is so flimsy that I will not put my $500 camera on this, no way! Everything in the kit is very useful, but the filters and the tripod.
You wont regret getting this kit if you are entry level.Read full review
