Canon 24-105 L F4 lens

Having previously owned a Canon 2.8 EFS lens I decided on'impulse'(The Ebay syndrome!) to bid for this L series Lens, purely on the basis of having long wanted a better quality lens for my 40D DSLR. There is a noticeable improvement with this L series lens in terms of image contrast,colour saturation and image definition when compared with my EFS lens. The improvement in the construction quality of the L lens is also noticeable and adds to the enjoyment factor of using it. For me the all round improvement in image quality and depth (even shooting images wide open at F4 )has been worthwhile and whilst the price paid was only about £175 cheaper than a brand new lens (Ebay prices are NOT that much cheaper than new in many instances - check out the almost new prices people pay for Eflite Blade RC helicopters!) this saving was nevertheless worth having.
