Prints card stock!
It took me a while to get used to all the added extras the printer provides but its comprehensive and up to date with the latest technology....so that's a plus.
My reason for buying was - that not only would it print, scan and copy but it could print on card stock with ease........I have increased the card weight and now up to 260gms at present with no paper jams. I hope to achieve the maximum soon.
The colour is extremely good! I am very pleased.
Other reports state the machine is noisy, but its not a big deal and I haven't been put off by this.
I would recommend this machine to both home and small office. I am only at the foothills of my journey with this printer, but I have no complaints and hope this printer will withstand all my printing needs.
Perfect glitch free journey so far............Read full review

Not What You'd Expect From A Canon Piece Of Equipment
Didn't come with any instructions, wasn't easy or clear on how to load in the ink cartridge (which are really expensive by the way) and that was after purchasing the wrong size originally. The printer head wasn't aligned and despite following instructions on how to fix that, it did nothing. The printing quality wasn't that great either but I feel I can't comment so much on this aspect after having 0 success with a successful print. Still don't know how to use the copy or scan mechanisms, After several attempts of trying to print the same PDF file to no avail, I gave up.Read full review

Good Machine
Regretfully, long out of production, and not easy to recover from the 'used' market,, this machine is perfect for my needs of written work and photo reproduction.
Great all round printer
Really easy to set up and use. Huge range of functionality.

Excellent value.
The printer is excellent and at the price I bought it was unbeatable. It accepts generic ink so a money saver right there.

Good for the price
I bought a reconditioned MG2950, which might explain its refusal to connect wirelessly. No problem for me, but do check other reviews if this facility's important to you.
The device is small for a printer, lightweight, and has a pleasantly streamlined appearance. It's fairly noisy, although does offer a Quiet Mode which I haven't tried. It comes with the full array of Canon software, such as My Image Garden if you want to create collages, greetings cards, calendars and the like.
It's easy to use. The software can be installed from the enclosed disc or Canon's website. The paper types offered by the built-in settings are fairly limited, however I've just printed 40 cards on 235gsm textured paper, which is definitely not among the settings (I just used Plain Paper Standard.) Apart from needing an occasional nudge through the feed pickup, the MG2950 handled it extremely well. The print quality was great!
Long-life branded cartridges for this printer are available for around £14 each (May 2016), which is a major plus point. I'd be happy to recommend it for ordinary domestic use.Read full review
