camera arrived very fast! this was an incredible price for a reliable camera. unfortunately the previous user must’ve left batteries in the camera for too long, as when i went to load them in, the compartment was corroded and the battery latch immediately fell off entirely. this is not a problem, as a piece of electrical tape fixed this and the camera works perfectly fine! just an aesthetic issue (for now) and for that price it’s not a problem at all! very satisfiedRead full review

Old Batteries welded in place by corrosion

Had the old batteries been removed this probably would be a nice camera. The contacts for the batteries were literally turned to dust, corroded with the batteries. I think it’s a failing of this model and others that use the AA household type of battery. Just a matter of finding parts and fixing it!!Read full review

Outstanding Deal On This Canon T50 Body Only & Matching Fitted Case!

Was looking for fitted camera cases when I came across this Canon T50 Camera with a fitted case. Excellent deal (price of a 25 dollar pizza to go) This is the first model in the Canon 'T' Series of 35mm film cameras & was introduced in 1983 - Couldn't resist this deal. Already have 2 perfect condition T70 models (1984) and a beautiful T80 model (1985) These cameras take wonderful quality photos. The T50 has an automatic film advance motor built-in but is still manual rewind when you get to the end of a roll of film. It is a bit more 'plastic' feeling verses the next in the series (the T70) but is Canon quality and still takes awesome photographs. It is a bit lighter in weight, most likely due to the next model in the series (the T70) and beyond, having built-in film rewinding motors. Extremely simple to use - instruction manuals available on-line for operation. Will fit any Canon FD mount lenses, available cheaply and freely on eBay. Has ISO film settings, Program setting, battery check & a lock position to prevent shutter release. Hot-shoe flash attachment, dedicated flash unit for this camera is the Canon Speedlite 244T. Beautiful, durable Canon camera excellent for student film classes & general 35mm film photography. Glad to have come across this first model of the Canon T Series of cameras - It is in perfect condition and has a beautiful dedicated leather case to boot. It's an aftermarket case but specifically marked for Canon T70 - Have already received scans & hard copies of photographs taken with this 1983 Canon T50 - they are beautiful!Read full review

The Canon A-1 was ahead of it's time, and still serves the art of film based photography.

Some will say The Canon F-1 is more durable, a better device. The A-1 has features that are greater in my opinion.
I started out in the graphic arts industry.. Offset printing replaced the finer quality of the Letterpress printing, then of course came office printers, and high speed copiers.. from the basic wheel... to the sports car..

I would rate this Excellent, a five star item.. But honestly... A digital camera is the future..
The new Canon or Sony is small like a smart phone..
Takes amazing photos at higher than 24 mps. and studio quality video.

Program mode rules!

Great SLR that acts as a point and shoot camera, since it can only shoot in Program mode. Switch the Canon FD lens from "A" to an aperture number will give you a 1/60th second speed, which can act as an AE Lock for good photographs, using good judgement. .Read full review

Best deal for film photography

I am a film camera junkie and use all 9. The T70 is solid, handy and accurate. The lens mount comes loose often but is a 10 minute fix.
