A fun rental that makes you feel like a real Super Soldier!!!

Captain America takes to the stage Arkham Asylum style in his latest game. How does that work out for him? There are probably some mixed feelings here but I believe they're mostly on the positive side. Strong execution on the basic and critical moves leave you feeling like Captain America just enough to forgive the poor execution on some of his signature moves like the Shield Charge. There's a nice little story in this mix but it's a shame that not all the original actors are voicing their characters but the majority are. Now for the details. $$$
Pros
+ Controls well enough but it's no Arkham Asylum.
+ Shield throwing is really fun.
+ Makes you really feel the power of Captain America.
///Cons
- Not always linear enough. Lots of backtracking.
- Some of the power moves don't control well like the Shield Charge.
- Kind of on the short side. Took less than a day for 100% completion.

===Verdict
Rent before you buy. Even hardcore fans might have their fill of this game once it's at 100%. The only reason you might play through again is to test out the different costumes but there's only 3. I like this game but it's got it's flaws.

Entertaining, and it satisfied my itch for an old licensed game.

The only issue I’ve had is the game crashes whenever I try to enter certain parts of the sewers. I suspect this comes with the knowledge that it is a used game. Otherwise the game plays nicely.

Shield Bashing Fun

Great story arc and game play, many way to challenge yourself and take out hydra forces. No side missions just story mode which is a bummer, but challenges to play. 4 out of 5 for Gamer Ranked.

Beautiful Graphics, Lackluster action

Captain America game comes with a lack of control or any real depth. Playing for a few hours and smashing Hydra soldiers and you feel like you've got all there is to see and or do in this Captain America game. The scenes are lovely to watch and show quality and care but the gameplay itself becomes very repetitive which had me placing the controller down and walking from away from this movie game tie in.Read full review...
