a great little pocket microscope for the money

At first it was a little skeptic about buying one of these I did buy one in the past and was a piece of junk, But this one is pretty good it goes from 60-120x I was able to look at my stylus & the grooves on my records no wasn't powerful enough to see the V in the groove but it was powerful enough to see the grooves on the records for the money it was worth it here is a photo of my stylus/needle I was able to put my cell phone on it & take a photo or two. Photos are before I cleaned the Stylus & After I cleaned it.
It's small & will fit in any pocket the viewing opening (where you can put things under to look at) is about 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 for me it's fine to look at scratches etc.. on my records you will enjoy it I think I payed around $12.00 There are other that are more powerful & probably a little more money. It is made of hard plastic & probably will withstand the drop with out breaking & the little LED light comes in handy s well.

Good size, reasonable price.

This product is certainly worth the price, however it has some short comings that I find troublesome. The built in light is too bright, and has no way of regulating it and there is no way to light from behind the subject. This causes some subjects I look at to be washed out or have some glare. Sometimes I can turn off the light for subjects that have some transparency, and place a light source behind, that has worked out well in some situations. Overall the product is a great size, fairly well made. I will continue to use it.Read full review...

One of the better units (for the price)

I'm using this to identify the maturity of my plants. I've used Jewelers loops (waste of time). Trust me, if you are using this for your plants, you want nothing LESS than 60x (120 and above is overkill) with a bright light (this unit has that as well). So, speed the $12 for something you can use.Read full review...

Sturdy, clear, inexpensive.

Got a small, portable, plastic, handheld microscope similar to this one a few years back. . .better than nothing but image was blurred at best. . .this one is FAR superior to that one. . .clear, good LED light (the other one I had wasn't an LED) and feels sturdy for $15. Definitely better than I expected.Read full review...

Very cool gadget! A lot of fun to play with or learn from. You’ll be impressesed.

One of those rare times that something is more, or better than you’d hoped. Really nice little tool that looks way more top shelf than the price charged. Perfect field scope that is fun to use without the fear of breakage. Really good purchase for kids as well, as it is solidly constructed.Read full review...

CARSON MICROBRITEPLUS 60X-120X LED POCKET MICROSCOPE

EASIER TO USE THAN MOST PRODUCTS OF THIS TYPE THAT I HAVE TRIED. STILL, IT IS NOT EASY TO USE. USES A 'STANDARD' SIZE BATTERY THAT IS EASILY AVAILABLE. OPTICAL QUALITY IS REASONABLE CONSIDERING PRICE. I LIKE IT AND WOULD PURCHASE IT AGAIN. CAN NOT SPEAK ABOUT DURABILITY AS I HAVE ONLY HAD IT A LITTLE OVER A WEEK.Read full review...

Great little handy microscope

It exceeded my expectations both in quality of the image and magnification power. As a biologist I find it very useful. There is even an option for zooming. All in all, very good and useful product.

Can you see me now?

Good microscope. The only problem to me is you can't view free hand in the air ,like on a plant. I have to cut leaves off .You do have to focus it and it is hard at first then you get the hang of it.I would go for a real microscope if I had known before, but this one is mobile.Read full review...

Not the smallest pocket microscope, but that's OK.

This unit is larger than others because it uses one AA battery instead of smaller button cell batteries. Not going to carry it in my pocket, anyway, so I'll take the convenience of the AA battery available anywhere and everywhere. It is best used while sitting at a table or desk with a smooth surface to move it slowly and carefully over the object you're studying. Not for handheld use like a magnifying glass. The 60 - 120 power is perfect for examining minute details of a plant leaf or an insect wing or the date on a coin. I'm very pleased with the lighting on the object and the image in the eyepiece.Read full review...

Is okay

On close up is good ,but for a handheld microscope is not too stable. Also, it only has one focus stage to zoom in or out has no variable. You can only come to one conclusion. A high resolution magnifier works better!Read full review...
