Overall a decent watch for the price
I really like this watch but it is definitely on the big side. I knew that going in. Just like the negative display is hard to read in some light but I was aware of that when I purchased it. The light works great though. My biggest complaint is the alarm volume. If there is any noise around me, I can't hear it at all. It's super quiet. But it looks good and I'll just have to wear it when I don't need an alarm. You can see the size of it compared to my DW-6900BB-1DR. Overall, I'm pleased with it.
Side note: to turn on the auto light feature, press and hold the light button until the "LT" icon comes up at the bottom of the screen. It's there but the instructions weren't clear on that. Read full review

Durable with many useful features
I like everything about this watch except for the dark face. It makes it difficult to see the time during the day. The back light helps but it is frustrating to have to keep turning it on to read the time.Read full review

It's hard or impossible to see in medium light and the light for it looks cheap.
The light is 2 LEDs at the bottom and looks cheap. I got an $11 or so Armatron that looks like he same with the black face by every observers oppinion of the 2 is just as comfortable and is backlit like indiglo style so really it looks way better when u light it up. I got an $11 that looks almost identical and the numbers r backlit indiglo style. Don't think I can name it here, but I'm selling this watch and sticking with the $11 one.Read full review

Looks good, keeps time, but hard to see the dial
I like it, but the dial is seriously difficult to read, even with the light on. Reading the timezones was hardly possible even with a big magnifying glass. Compass works well. Thermometer works if you take the watch off for long enough to cool to room temp. Otherwise you get a temperature that is something between your body heat and room temp.
Fit and finish is really good. My bottom line is, buy it if you like the style and don't care too much about the details on the dial. Its a nice watch when you get it at the discounted prices on ebay.Read full review

G-SHOCKS ROCK!
This is a very nice timepiece. I love the solid black features. I especially like the dial when the backlight is lit up. It's a decent size and fits nicely. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

The Casio G-Shock GD100-1B...in a nutshell
This G-Shock is a good watch and I'm happy I found it at a great price. My Son has been asking to wear my other G-Shock as he's in JROTC (AF) in School and they are allowed to wear G-Shocks with their Uniforms. Now, I can pass that G-Shock on to him and have my own Gym-ready G-Shock watch. I'm slightly disappointed with the display as it's sometimes difficult to see in certain outdoor/indoor settings...Also the Auto-Light Setting seems to only stay on for a short period of time and I find that I am re-setting it daily, or more often.
