The only watch you need.
This the perfect fit and forget watch. A G Shock watch is the ultimate beater watch, tested to endure anything you can throw at it, the model has advantages aplenty, 200 metres water resistant, slim body with decent size display that shows hours, minutes, seconds, date, day and month at a glance. On top of all that, it is solar powered and it gets signals from the atomic clock, meaning the time is always perfect. In addition, in poor light, the user just lifts their arm up and the display automatically lights up, super clearly. Finally, the watch can display the time in 30 plus countries, it has a 24 hour stopwatch and countdown timer, plus 5 separate alarms……ok and did I mention that you can drop it onto concrete from 10 metres up and it will still work perfectly?……you just can’t beat this wonderful, classically designed G Shock ‘square’, based on the original Zombie Apocalypse watch.Read full review...

Tells time, been told the army use them.
I've been wearing this watch a while now, I hate watches, I always break them, except this one, it's got a pit on the screen from me welding, other than that it's fine, I wanted a Velcro strap, which I had to get adapters for from America, but it fitted fine with these, every time I look at it the time is there, not once have I looked at, and the time hasn't been there, I'm not sure if the time is right, would be a bit weird comparing times, but I've never been late for work due to this, I'm always the first one in, by the way you can buy a cage for these too, it works well.Read full review...
a fine watch, clear display and perfect feature set.
I don't hand out five star reviews too often but there's no way this Casio deserves any less. It's been totally reliable through the several years I've had it - which included one period when I mislaid it for seven months - on finding it, it'd gone to sleep but woke up and wasn't out of charge. I do usually put it in the window to keep its charge reasonably well up. It's the lowest maintenance watch with completely reliable timekeeping due to it being updated nightly at around 02.02am.
This is the watch I use as a standard of timekeeping for the watches I'm keeping an eye on at any one time and it never deviates from the latest Cesium-sourced time reference in any recordable way.
So overall this one represents the best G-Shock I've ever had, including a solar Mudman that lacks the waveceptor feature - and needs correction weekly.
Unless you have radar dishes for ears, no Casio alarm will get your attention so in practical terms the alarm function is essentially useless. Even so it's an easy five stars from me.Read full review...

These really are great watches. Bought three of them, one for myself and two for family as gifts, and they are just so good at what they do - telling the time, robust, shock proof and fully water proof with auto updates and world wide time zone settings, and solar powered too, so no battery to worry about. Has sensible features, stop watch, count down timer and five alarm settings, great facial display and amazing back light that puts some light sabres to shame.
I always wanted one when they first came out in the 80's - so feel i have waited long enough a time - lol, very stylish and a timeless classic that looks good and goes with anything anywhere. Casio really do make good watches, much better in my opinion, than the more expensive fashion high end brands, in fact I think they are the kings of time.

If the alarm were louder it would be the perfect watch.
Much as expected - well made and comfortable. Stays fully charged even though it is winter and I am indoors a lot of the time. Picks up the time signal reliably. The buttons are heavily recessed but one quickly gets used to them. The only real fault is the lack of volume of the alarm. I can just about hear it if I am using the timer but there is no way it would wake me up. It is baffling why a watch with the macho name of "G-Shock" should whisper so self-effacingly.
