Bad Luck?

I liked the idea of being able to carry my Color TV anywhere so much that I bought my second Casio TV 900, even after the first one gave me problems the first day I got it. The first one had this annoying black line across the middle of the screen that really bothered me. It appeared just a while after I turned it on for the first time. I asked a technician if it could be fixed, but parts for these old gadgets are hard to come by, and if possible, it would be more expensive to fix it than the actual cost of the thing. This one in particular, also came without the swivel stand on the back, which the seller did not make me aware of before purchasing it. This pull-out stands are made out of thin plastic and are fragile and unreliable. Plus, they tend to break off from the unit. Luckily, a friend offered to buy it for the price I had payed in eBay, so I got that back. But the second time was the bummer! This one I made sure that it had the stand and asked questions to the seller to make sure I was going in the right direction. When I got it, I was happy to see that it appeared undamaged and everything seemed to work right. I was working in my garage, so I took it with me to watch the evening news. I turned it on and tuned it easily to a local station and placed it upon a shelf. I watched the screen from time to time for about half an hour and kept listening to the news broadcast. Both sound and image were pretty clear. As I was working, I did not keep my eyes on it all of the time. At one moment, I looked at it and the screen had gone completely black. Sound was fine. Since that day, my second Casio TV 900 has been forgotten somewhere in a drawer. I bought two of these in a month and got to enjoy one of them for half and hour. Big deal.Read full review...

Non functional

This handheld tv is of no use because it only receives analog channels. So since all tv stations have converted to digital, I receive no channels at all

Casio handheld TV

I love this little TV. I bought an AC adapter for it to save on battery use. It's great to take in the car for a long trip. and the reception is surprisingly good.

I like the Casio TV-900 2.3 in. Handheld Television a lot and the reception is good on all channels. I use rechargable batteries that last approximately 3 hours. Only problem is it may not work after February, 2009.Read full review...
