Mamba X ESC and 1406 4600Kv brushless motor
Excellent quality. Purchased for my 3D printed OpenRC F1 car. Motor and ESC preform flawlessly. 4600Kv is probably overkill. Would suggest picking up the Castle Creations USB adaptor to update firmware and tune ESC. There is a voucher included in the kit to purchase one free. This is a great product! I read a lot of comments where they said that castle overpowers the car, blah, blah, blah. My answer to them is that they don't understand how to tune power and gear ratio for an electric motor!!!!
I built a TLR 22 2WD with this motor and ESC. I made it for my son and I wanted to de-power its design to make it a learning platform. The Castle Mamba X allowed me to succeed thanks to all its configurable features. The car runs 3S 5A/h battery, it is very easy to drive and the power is easy to control. Also it has amazing battery life: We can drive it almost for 1 hour with the same battery pack. I reduced the gear ratio (16/86) to reduce speed and increase torque. The design turned out to be perfect! I am very impressed with the castle motor and ESC. I had already great experience with castle for helicopters; and now I am again very happy with its use on a 2WD car. (PS the described design with 3S battery and different gear ratio was my customization on TLR 22. It is doable but not easy to do; just in case somebody wants to replicate it).Read full review

castle always delivers high quality
currently running in a 2s 1/10 rwd drift chassis, absolutely overkill but in a great way. the esc is a work of art with its aluminum body, especially with the fans aluminum cover which is only turned on once the esc hits a certain temperature. it’ll eventually make its way into a slash but until then i will be enjoying the extra power and wasted potential haha. i also have the bluetooth adapter which is definitely recommended lots of adjustments available with the castle app. the switch hasn’t gone bad yet but it’s a castle product so be prepared to jump the wires together or invest a few extra bucks for different one! overall a great product would buy again and againRead full review
