Nice magnification and FOV. Don't expect it to be ED/HD lenses quality. Worth having.

Very heavy binocular. Bad chromatic aberration (as expected). Focusing individual eye pieces takes a bit of time to get used to. Once you are used to it, it is fine. Lenses caps falls right off. Only useful in storage. Don't even think about capping the lenses while it is on a tripod.
Great Field of View. High power. Definitely not as bright or crisp as HD / ED 8x42 or 10x42. The trade off is price and magnification power.
It is a keeper for me. If you are using it regularly, it'll be on a tripod permanently. Too much hassle to put it on and take it off all the time.

Not happy with my Celestron 25x100 Skymaster Binoculars

These binoculars are huge and heavy. Normal 10x50's weigh 1.5 lbs. The 25x100's weigh 9 lbs. It is not possible to hold them like normal binoculars. You need a tripod. A normal camera tripod cannot handle 9 lbs. A specialized parallelogram mount will cost $275+.

My 25x100's would not stay in position for viewing. Once I moved them to match my eye width they would not hold in position and would slowly collapse. I have yet to find an adjustment to set the drag or tension.

The optics are not that crisp. I found plenty of YouTube vids showing how to adjust the internal optics. I did not think this would be necessary on a Celestron product. But you can see all the vids for yourself.

If you expect to use these right out of the box you will be disappointed.

Poor Quality

Very difficult to focus. As with my Skymaster 15x70's the left eyepiece feels somewhat gritty as I try to focus. I'm not sure if this is a common flaw but, both bino's have this poor characteristic. When I say gritty its almost as if dirt is in the lubricant. Very disappointed. I should have known better being that I was not happy with the 15x70's. I will be looking to purchase a better quality pair now. Anybody want to buy this piece of junk cheap?Read full review

Great features and well made.

The binoculars are a bit heavy but very easy to use. Focus is easy and the clear sites will amaze you. Very well made and attractive also.

Strong men only

To use these binoculars you need a
Very strong mount.A fluid head camera tripod is asking for disaster.
I designed and modified a meade 8"cass.tripod to handle the weight.
Few paralelogram tripods are strong enough without massive counterweights.Captain Jack.Read full review
