Not good distance

Good replacement or additional remote controller
Just match it correctly to the type of garage door opener you have and follow the directions for programming/learning. As a second remote controller, it worked perfectly the first time for me. It does not affect the programming or function of the original remote controller, if you are adding a second remote controller, as was the case for me. Works well with an older system
Directions are easy to read and understand. Programming the openers is really easy. Love that they come with batteries but I didn't see anywhere that there was something to 'block' the contact so I don't believe the batteries are as strong or 'fresh' as a consumer may want. The fact that is works well with an opener that is over 15 yrs old is WONDERFUL. My fear was that I would have to replace the garage door unit itself (which still works wonderfully) but this eased my concerns greatly with the fact that this remote works seamlessly with an older Chamberlain Garage Door Opener.Read full review

Pleased with these garage remotes. Had no trouble with programming, and works from the same distance as my OEM remote. I prefer the keychain style - less likely to leave in car - which is a security issue if remote stolen from the car. Like the slide feature to prevent accidental pressing of buttons.
