Channellock 39151 Mechanic's Tool Set - 200 Piece

I got mine faster then they estimated I would .. I got ocd so I compared this with the Kobalt and craftsmen sets.. I didn’t care about the stuff some added to jack up the count . I wanted the 3 different ratchet sizes and what sold me was the ratchet wrenches!! Yes it’s not the complete set but it’s the sizes you will most likely use most the time ..I would buy this set again and I showed a friend that is more Mechanical incline just to get a opinion and he also said that it was a nice set and where did I find it .. used it the first day to change breaks and that weekend used it again for oil change and very happy with it.Read full review

Great but STINKS!

so far i am very pleased except.......... it STINKS!!!! literally it smells bad. when you open the case it has an odor of plastic (to be expected) and a strong, weird musty odor that is rather unpleasant and it assaults your nose every time you open your shiny new tool set. Read full review

Just the right amount of tools in box!

I originally had the 139 piece tool set, but it was stolen from me after six years of use! I decided to buy the 200 piece one.
Product is made very well, never broke any of the tools.

Great Set of Tools!

Looked at every tool set you can find on the net and chose these to keep in my truck due to the overall coverage! SAE + Metric, deepwells + regular, and the ratchet wrenches are outstanding! Screwdriver/ Nutdriver/ Torx! The Chrome Plating appears to be just about the best I've seen! Granted, I've thrown in a 1/4" + 1/2" swivel and short extensions, which I've hidden in the limited small cavities, but with a 2lb sledge and a BFS, I fully confident that I can solve any mechanical problem that may arise, with this one set of tools! I HIGHLY recommend this set for absolutely anyone that has the ability to fix thier stuff! The best bang for the buck I've seen in years, other than the truck itself!Read full review

Tool man

Having had the pleasure of working on American autos for 50+ years, I have bought a tool or two.
Craftsman, snap on have nothing on this manufacturer.
Tools are awesome quality, handle like jewelry and fit & finish is superb.
I used on front end struts, some stabilizer links and as a part time ratchet ‘hammer’ .
Not a dent, not a scuff.

Still Made In The USA

Channellock is one of the few tool companies that are still making all there tools here in the USA. As you might expect this means quaility standards that are mark with higher cost tools at a workmans price. I use tools like there were made for, in other words, I tear down and build older cars from the ground up. These haven'r failed me yet.Read full review
