This first season is one of the best of the whole saga

I love this TV series. Especially the earlier seasons involving Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas, Antonio Dawson (John Seda) and Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush). Unfortunately these three great characters left the show in later seasons and the show suffered as a result. Also, the use of "the cage" was dropped in later seasons. Probably in an effort to become more PC. But it was Hank's use of "the cage" - an area in the basement of the police building where there were no surveilance cameras - to interrogate evil doers that I used to like. Read full review
