THE FIRST DVD FROM E BAY

my fiancee has a profoundly deaf son,she saw this movie some years ago and wanted a copy after seeing it.although i did not think we would be able to get a copy we managed through e bay the dvd was posted [well wrapped]and arrived quickly. i must say the movie was not my cup of tea but judy really enjoyed it and said it was as good as she remembered it,she said she would reccommend it to anyone who has a deaf person in the family because it gives you some idea of their disability.i hope this helps anyone who wants this movie.cheers IAN;;Read full review...

An excellent Film, Play and Book.
Wheather you use sign language, are affected by deafness or not, I would recommend you check this out in whichever medium suits you best.

What a film!

Such a powerful film from both Marlee Matlin and William Hurt. Definatly an oscar winner. Decided to buy it as I am a huge fan of Marlee Matlin and was something that is true to her heart
