Buy one and save a fortune
In place and inflated 5 minutes after it arrived. The instructions are written in easy English and simple to follow. I've turned the thermostat down 2°c since it arrived. That's 10% down on my normal setting and likely to add up to £50+ saved between October and March. That's into a "closed" chimney, I wouldn't want to use it in a live chimney - too fiddly. There's an upside down chimney umbrella thing you could use if you have a "live" fire and want to un / block it regularly.

Air Leaks Out
I'm afraid that this balloon isn't quite up to the mark ..... blown it up twice inserted as instructed in the chimney and unfortunately it hasn't stayed in place properly.
After only 36 hours it falls back down into the fireplace,

Easy to fit with clear instructions. My chimney is a less regular fit, dates back to early 1900s even so it seals 80% of the flue. Cheapest I found on the internet. I would buy again.
