A cheap alternative to a SM57

I bought this microphone somewhat sceptical. I am using it to mic up a guitar cab at rehearsal so I don't need anything too articulate. I was pleasantly surprised. The mic is loud and feels well made. The included box, cable and mic clip are not the greatest, in fact the 'carry case' disintegrated pretty quickly.

It's a lot of mic for not a lot of money. Would I use it for recording? No. Would I use it live where quality of sound is less important? I am doing! In fact my drummer has bought a couple and I have bought a spare.

If you are after a perfect studio mic keep walking, if you are after a live tool on a budget by one. Stop reading this and buy one!

SM57 like instrument microphone

The item was shipped i secure pacaging.
Sounds OK and have a nice finish, but have some hum. Not a big problem with high level signals like drums.
Have crosschecked with other microphones.

Good low priced copy

Use it to mic up. Good, does it's job. Obviously not quite as good or responsive as an SM57, but through the desk, micing up guitar cabs or hi-hats, with some EQ and level tweaks, for the cost you just can't go wrong. Will likely buy a couple more for micing up.Read full review...

Great SM57 clone (on a budget!)

Great sound. Within minutes of using it I could dial in a really clean and clear sound. Nice robust design, solid and looks like it will take a few knocks! For someone who has only ever used SM57s in the past, I feel this is a good alternative. Buy it!Read full review...

Exceptional quality

This microphone is of exceptional quality both in appearance and sound reproduction, it looks like the famous SM57 but at a fraction of the price you get a quality product that would probably closely match the real thing.
I was so impressed with this microphone I bought two as a matching pair for my home studio. I would recommend it to anyone.
For voice or musical instruments (mine is for voice) you'll be pleasantly surprised.

No need for a 57 IM07 does it!

Really good quality especially if micing up an instrument or amp. Links easily to your interface for great results. I am considering buying some more when I need them. If linked through a graphic equaliser the mic will be whatever you want it to be or do. It just sounds good for most applications.Read full review...

Good Budget Mic

Ok so it's early days, but so far this mic has been great. Used to mic up a guitar amp through a pa it's working just fine. Does what I would expect from a Sure or similar.
