Ecozilla steals all the attention!

In 2004 it was released in three versions, and 3 or 4 years later two were dropped (steel case with steel band AND titanium case with PU band). BJ8050-08E is steel cased with a PU band. It is heavier than your Mickey Mouse watch, but this Ecozilla sports a 6 milimeters width mineral glass!
In 2004 it was called huge because of its 48 mm case, however more than 11 years later fashion has changed a lot and it is common to see people wearing wristwatches that are in the range of 45 to 50 mm width.
Nevertheless, this is a scuba diving tool, so size is not the main aspect to consider.

Under the water I could easily see the time, and twist the bezel. And in dark conditions its lume is powerful, you would enjoy looking at those blue marks, that will be glowing for hours.

You will get free conversation subjects thanks to Ecozilla. I strongly recommend to take diving classes first ...

A couple of days I took it to my job and left home my everyday watch Signature/Courageous BL5440. I had no issues about its weight or how the band felt. My shirt sleeve could not cover the Ecozilla as did with the Signature. Yes, the watch is high (18 mm or so).

Additionally there is an engraved figure on the case back. It is and old scuba diver helmet, so if the conversation went beyond the expected, you have and excuse to start taking stuff off.

This watch can be used in conditions where is necessary breathing an air and helio mixture. However, it has no a release valve so that means it will survive to very deep waters, however not inside a chamber with an helio environment.

It has ISO certification for 300 meters and is written in red letters on the front. Also you can read "Professional Divers".

The screw-down crown is very easy to engage it or the opposite.

Until the middle of 2014 this watch had always the code HST on the case back. After that Citizen ommited this HST code. I asked them for the meaning and they did not share it.

I felt that sand got inside the bezel, I used clear water to wash it and the problem was gone. I believe that in the future, the numbers in the bezel could lose their black look, because they seem just painted.

SUMMARY: Do I like this watch? No, I love it.

Sturdy piece, product lives up to the pro diving watch title.

The rubber band is strong and big enough to fit over the diving gear too. Dial has great glow and easy to read, battery keeps the charge even at low light condition, keeps time very accurate . Performed well at diving!Read full review

Large, but surprisingly comfortable!

I have a 6.8 inch wrist. Was afraid that watch would feel heavy and very uncomfortable for every day wear. This hasn't been the case, but it's definitely not appropriate for dress or business wear, as it would interfere with long sleeve shirt cuffs. I have the adapters because I like to wear a NATO strap. I have worn it with a metal bracelet, also, but that adds weight. Still, when I did, I forgot that it was on my arm after awhile. It's very accurate, too. I like the eco-drive system. It's never run down. Great value as well. I don't regret buying it.Read full review

Great watch and very attractive. It has very good blue illumination

I really like this watch. It has very good lume . The only negative thing might be it is heavy. It might not be for everyone but I personally don't mind.If it is for a watch collector that doesn't mind that aspect its not an issue.Read full review

Easy, Big Fella...

It's easy to compliment this Big Fella. Handsome, heavy, wears like a Lloyd Bridges' scuba mask - secure, functional, not fancy, but on task and ready for the next adventure. Also a pleasure to read the manly, no-nonsense, bold face. Pretty good value for the money around 200 bucks.Read full review

VERY Robust watch!

These watches are a true Diver's watch and are designed to be very robust--(300M water resist). As such, it is quite large & thick. It is more comfortable than I thought it would be for everyday wear, however. I am a PADI Certified diver, and know most recreational dives are less than 150 feet - MAX, so 990 feet is WAY overkill. It is easy to read, and the lume works well. There are not too many of these around (that I have noticed), so it is a unique conversation starter. Read full review

Professional divers by citizen called Ecozilla

Perfect diving and water sports watch
Solar powered, glows all night long, never needs batteries, solar powered.
Dynamic pressure to 300 meters Which is 970 feet.
Will never fail
Strap is screwed on to watch so no more spring bars to fail. Ive sent my other watches flying off my wrist into the ocean to be lost forever like a seiko.
I’ve used my older ecozilla which is 12 years old and still functioning every day in the saltwater, had it 300 feet deep on line behind dive boat off Maui.
Spearfishing And surfing with crushing wave powered water slamming the watch underwater Which is dynamic pressure and never a leak.
