Haynes car manual

Not like traditional old type Haynes manuals.much smaller in size and thin paper pages.
Cover is also very thin.
In garage you would need to try to avoid damage as it's not very hard wearing

But the content is good as always.very helpful.good pictures.

Poor quality Haynes Manual

I purchased the Haynes manual for electrical wiring diagrams for my car. The first thing that struck me was the poor quality paper the manual has been produced with. A step up from toilet tissue paper, but only just. It makes the text quite difficult to read in anything but good light. Additionally the paper is liable to rip unless you are very careful. With regard to the quality of information provided, in my case poor for the items I was researching. The wiring diagrams weren’t representative of my vehicle and fuse layouts and locations were wrong. In general very disappointed with the book. I will look at alternatives next time around. Haynes workshop manual.

I've been using Haynes manuals for many years now. This is the first time that I've seen a paperback version, must say I prefer the hardback. But the content is up to the usual high standard and does exactly what it says on the tin.Overall well pleased. Read full review

Decent manual

Haynes manuals don’t go so deeply into car mechanics that they used to but what’s there is still very useful. It covers pretty much all that the diy mechanic would need. Remember that modern vehicles are very sophisticated and need specialist diagnostic and repair equipment so bear that in mind when you read this manual. Read full review

A Haynes manual (always good but with reservations)

Good manual. . . not many Scudo manuals about.
Since many of the problems with these vehicles are electrical and not mechanical maybe a more in-depth review of sensors/computer problems and their solutions would be appreciated.Read full review

Handy reference book.

I found this a handy guide, I'm sure I could find fault if I tried but so far I've found it very useful. Yeah, the paper's a bit thin but in this age of recycling I think that's a good thing.
I'd recommend this for anyone who like me is able to fix most things but sometimes needs the odd pointer.. Like how to remove the things you need to remove so you can actually get to the thing that needs fixing. Read full review

Diagrams not easy to see

Would have preferred clearer print and coloured pictures for the price

Essential reading

Typical Haynes manual. It contains all the required information including torque values and useful images. Make sure the section you are reading is for your particular variant as there is a lot of cross-referencing.Read full review
