This review is only for the pruduct performance and not for the merchant, i give them a 5 star all the way around for everything. But the reason for the 1 star is because this thing gets FREAKING annoying and starts going off randomly when theres nothing around me. Or wont even go off when the actual high way patrol is around me scanning me!!!!! The whole point of me of me getting this was to avoid highway patrol but it has not once done that for me. Do your research

I ordered my cobra radar for a good deal so I thought. It was a manufacture refurbished one but said it was in new condition. So I decided what the heck. Got my radar in right before my vacation (perfect timing) to use while driving 9 hours. Plugged it in and it powered up did all of its beeping like everyone of them do so I set off. About an hour in not hearing anything from it and passing to cops I figured hmmm this is weird but kept going. After passing a few other cops and having one flash his blue lights at me I knew then it was not working. I did all kinds of research to figure out if there is a setting or something that needed to be set up but no. So my last efforts were to call Cobra. Great customer support on their end. The lady then tells me that Cobra does not do refurbished radars that if one is bad they replace it for free. So keep an eye out for scammers selling "manufacture refurbished" items.Read full review

Range is not good

It's beeping when no one is around of you for no reason
you can see the cops on HWY holding speed Camrabut this system is not saying anything
So it's mean I can't trust this RADAR

It will warn you, most of the time at about 1/2 a mile. I don't think that's a good distance. It should be at least a mile. There doesn't tend to be more false alarms than I would like. It tends to go crazy around other detectors. For the money, it's pretty good.Read full review
