Practically useless for quilting, only barely adequate for sewing or tailoring
I had such high hopes for this thimble, but the truth is it's just another disappointment.
It starts with the visible obvious deficit of most metal thimbles on the market -- it's round and fingers are oval.
The burnished blue finish is very attractive yet totally impractical as it is so slick it's like "Teflon for needles" and there is no control at all if the eye hits anywhere except a dimple.
Unfortunately, the worst issue is the dimples are so shallow they don't give any true modicum of control either.
The lip/ledge which is supposed to act as a protector would be great if the finish was so slick, and the dimples so shallow. I did not run any needles under my fingernail bed while attempting to use this thimble. I did, however, have several needles slip from the ledge and run into the flesh of the side of my thumb or finger.
I really wanted this thimble to live up to its hype but it's really just a horribly over-priced, ill-conceived product. They've opted for pretty and glitzy instead of truly functional.Read full review

not quite perfect.
I have a Roxanne thimble which cost a lot and isn't the perfect fit I had hoped it would be, this thimble is a perfect fit and works very well for general sewing, as a quilter I would wish that the dimples were deeper to cup the needle more securely when quilting. But all things considered it is good value for money.Read full review
