I liked the book and it gave lots of ideas as I ordered two of them one to give to my grandaughter. And one for myself. This is the newest book from Colour Me Beautiful and it is very helpful as it includes a style guide (as well as colour guide) so you can see what suits your shape.

The book divides people according to their personal colouring and then says what colour clothing suits the reader. I had the original edition of this book which ame out in the 1980s. The help it gave has proved very useful over the years. It has made shopping quicker and has saved buying things which one ends up not wearing because the colour doesn't suit. When I've disobeyed the rules, I've usually regretted it. This 2010 edition has more categories of people's colouring and is much improved. It's a shame it doesn't include pull-out colour charts. One has to learn the colours or photo-copy the relevant pages from the book, and if your printer is anything like mine, the result won't be accurate enough. Still, study your colours and you'll get the idea quite easily. The colouring is the most significant element of the book, but it also features styles to suit body shapes, face shapes and styles to suit different personalities. Then there are tips regarding underwear, accessories, maternity clothes, occasion dressing, packing, organising the wardrobe, how to shop and forming a capsule.Read full review...

Colour me beautiful - absolutely!

This book amongst others was bought in my quest to armour myself with more information before I embarked on a new career. I now run a Personal Lifestyle and Events company. At first I was slighty dubious because "having your colours done" was something that seemed to me, a bit 80's! Oh how wrong was I! This book was so much more. It gave tons of advise on shape, colouring, clothes and what suits who plus loads more hidden gems. For example I am described as Dramatic when it comes to my dress sense - I loved the description. Even better it puts me in the same light as Victoria Beckham!
Just when I thought I was coming to the end of all the fabulous advise - up pops information about your capsule wardrobe. Brilliant I will read this again and again and recommend to everyone. Wow what a book!Read full review...

Fantastic Book - Does What It Says on the Cover

I love this book. In fact I love it so much, I bought one for my mum and one for my sister-in-law. It is informative and full of useful tips, tricks and information that is personal to you. I am more positive about myself and what suits me - and colleagues and friends have started to notice. I am filling my wardrobe with the right colours and shapes for me.
