Comet Lucifer (Blu-ray)

Not well known, but above average

Comet Lucifer didn't get a lot of attention when released. That's too bad. It deserved more. The basic story is common, boy meets supernatural/magic power girl. Bad guys interfere. Boy and cast defeat bad guys. Boy and girl protect the World, but don't have the happy ending. The difference here is the well done production. Vivid colors, interesting story world, and above average supporting cast. There's the evil scientist, lots of military mecha chasing the hero's. Battles are above average in quality of animation, I still wonder how an anime military can have mecha's and hover planes, but not have automated fire control systems or at least lead-computing sights. 1 important "good guy" character is killed which is non-standard. So the bottom line is above average production values, good supporting characters, well developed world. A 3.8-4.0 title.
As is the norm there are trailers, OP/END clean vids, and a bunch of shorts about Comet Lucifer's anime world. Look around for it at a price you want to pay. Got this one under $30USD.Read full review
