The interface with my opener is confusing

This control panel is mounted to the wall and replaces you existing wall panel. I was surprised to find that even when this is hard wired to my opener I still had to do a "learn" to link it to the opener. This unit has it's own learn button. Now I have a learn button on the opener and a learn button on the wall panel. It looks like some assurelink accessories will link to the wall panel and not the opener. However; my remotes in the car are still linking directly to the opener.

I like that the gateway plugs into my router and communicates with the wall panel. This eliminates having to get wiFI going. I have had problems with WiFi when there is a mix of 2.4 Hz and 5.0 Hz.

I am sure that even a professional repair person will be confused by this if called upon to work on my unit.Read full review
