Craig David - Trust Me

Obviously it's been 2 years since we last saw an album from Craig David before this and I have to say that I have been a fan of all 3 previous offerings.

His new album has the usual variety of sounds, though this one more than previous albums, including the dance tunes to the ballads. So nothing new there then...

However the difference with this album is in the way that this variety of sound is moulded into individual tracks. For instance 'Hot Stuff', which has charted as a single, has an both an R&B/Pop feel but is mixed with a cover of an 80's song and has some smooth vocals.

As usual the reason I like this album is you can't help but sing along to the majority of the songs even if you don't like them first time around. I would say not quite as good as 'Born to do it', bouncier than 'The story goes...' and much more down to earth than 'Slicker than your average'. 7/10.

Craig David - Welcome Back, I Think?

Before we start, I have to say i'm usually a big fan of Craig David. I own most of his back collection and I waited with great anticipation for this album when I heard it was being released. I also like listening to a new song from it each week. The Album as a whole however is o.k, but not brilliant. For a start there are only 11 songs, one of which is also on Kano's album. When it came out there were also too many different digital versions which put me off, surely if you are paying more for a CD you should expect at least 1 extra bonus track as thanks but anyway, back to the album.

Stand out songs are Officially Yours, Kinda Girl for Me and 6 of 1 thing (his next single - Good Choice) but I find a lot of the album totally forgettable. It is quite easy listening in my opinion but a lot of the songs do not stick in your head like you would hope. I still think if you have ever liked r'n'b you should consider this but I didnt put it top of my list as I think it could have been better.

Not as good as his other ones

i have every 1 of his other albums, and love all of them. They all hae a mixture of songs from garage, rap to slow ballads, unfortunately there aren't many of these on this album. So if you like craig david for his lovely ballads don't bother with this cd!!!!Read full review...

"Trust Me" CD from Craig David

Another great selection of songs from Craig - he gets better as he gets older. I looked at this CD when it was first released but being near to Christmas I decided to see if someone bought it for me. Nothing in my stocking so I turned to E-bay and got a bargain - if you have the patience it pays to wait!Read full review...
