Switched from Kitchen Aid

I needed a new mixer my KitchenAid was over 10 years used a lot but needed something with more power for bread making tired of mixer walking on counter. The power is incredible 800 watts made a double batch French bread with little effort at level 3 for knead love the timer will use a lot. Gorgeous impressive looking didn’t realize I got a refurbished from manufacturer concern with 90 day only return but can’t imagine giving it up will take the chance.only thing I notice that the bowl is nice with the shape and handles but seemed harder to clean Read full review

Very Bad and Useless So called "mixer".

Horrible under-powered machine with quickly burning AC motor, avoid even if you find it for $50.

Bought it with high hopes but it just burned during first use of regular dough mixing. Eventually had to buy a Kitchenaid 7QT which actually is worth every dollar spent.

Avoid this thing and if you buy you will see why Cuisinart no longer makes this junk.

Cuisinart sm 55

I love my mixer. It has a modern look and feel. It is more than powerful enough for my baking needs. It is loaded In features including the bowl shield and a timer.
The only thing I do not like about it is that I felt I needed to add a surge protector with an on off switch to plug it into. The mixer has push button switches and if the on button accidentally gets pushed the mixer will come on and the timer also stays lighted at all times. I just plugged it into the little multi plug and turn the power off at the multi switch. It's just an added precaution for me. But I didn't like the timer (not a clock) lighted 24 hours a day even without the danger of accidentally turning it on. Now it's all good. Flip the switch, have power and push the push button on switch.
This mixer is more powerful and cost less than other famous brands.
I rate it an "A" but would be A+ if it wasn't for what I consider a design flaw with the items I mentioned above. Others might not have a problem with it. But I feel it needs addressing.

A Good Mixer,

I love the timer and the slow start feature. It doesn't throw ingredients all over the counters as my kitchenaid does.
It is powerful

Cuisinart is the best

Bought this to replace my older one that finally died after 13 years. I’ll never buy another brand or style of stand mixer. Looking forward to 13 + more years with this beauty.

Birthday

Purchased for my wife for her Birthday. I was so worried because it fell beyond the return date and I didn't know if I would be able to send it back. I guess I didn't need to worry. The first batch of cookie dough that she ran through this thing, she fell in love. She said that she didn't know how she ever got along without it. I am expecting a whole lot of good things in my future. I guess it was a present for me also.Read full review

This bread baker loves it!

Wish I had gotten this ages ago. It makes bread (and cake) making so much easier. I especially like the self-timer which shuts the mixer off at a time you preset for it, and the twelve mixing speeds. Its clean design in turn makes it easy to clean. But maybe most important are its soliditiy and power, which are both necessary for making bread dough.Read full review

How did I live without it

I should have gotten one of these years ago. It has saved me so much time and effort. I love that it is expandable, easy to clean and not overly complicated. The timer option is great, no more setting the alarm on my phone. It has quickly become one of my favorite appliances, I love it.Read full review

Great features and design, very good price.

Did quite a bit of research before purchase to compare w/other makes/models (had some trepidation about a re-man unit, too); now very happy that we went w/this machine. Versatile, quiet, feature-packed, expandable w/other attachments. I'm not the primary user–my wife is–but she reports being extremely pleased with its performance so far making all types of dough. Good design, too. Highly recommended.Read full review

Wife LOVES it

Very attractive machine - she doesn't put it away out-of-sight when not in use - with lots of great features. Seems to be efficient and intuitive - when you push this lever or twist that knob, it does just exactly what you expect it to do. I'm concerned about the country of origin (you get three guesses), but it appears to be made of quality materials. If the electric motor holds up, this thing will become a family heirloom.Read full review
