This unit is not a patch on the old culinare timer which I've had for c.10 years. The buttons on the new unit are temperamental , do not work consistently. you expect the new model to be an improvement on the original ~,if it's not broke don't change it! This is an excellent little timer. It's easy to operate; no need to read the instructions. :o)

I like the fact that it comes with three methods of fitting; self adhesive, magnetic, and pull-out stand. The alarm is nice and loud, but not an annoying tone.

This is called a "loud beep timer" and it is as described, loud enough to hear whilst listening to the radio or kneeding bread in my kenwood chef, unlike other timers that I have tried. I have used one for many years and the only reason for replacement is that I broke the magnetic clip on the back (not easy!).
