Good info -Needs an uodate

This book is full of useful information about the history of cymbals, the companies that make them, and their design and care. What would be great is an updated version as this book came out in 1992. Since then we've seen the rise of Meinl who are arguably up there with Zildjian, Paiste, and Sabian. It would also be nice to have a chapter on the many newer brands like Dream or Bosporus among many others. There are also new trends to cover like the use of cymbal stacks or the preference for crashable rides these days.Read full review

What I was thinking it'd contain and what it did..

I'm hunting Paiste production numbers and like things. This will give you a fair amount of information about the popular and, the not so much!

Surprisingly in-depth.

If you’re into the ins and outs of the industry, then this is definitely for you. It was much more in depth than anticipated. However, if I had to do it all over again I’d but it.
