Dewalt Shearing Attachment
This tool attachment is pure genius! This saved me a laborious amount of time for a job I was doing with capping off the rake ends of the gable roof I installed. Dewalt is the only tool brand that I buy due to it's quality and craftsmanship. These cut really straight and I love that I can control both the speed and the blade angles. Room for improvement
The DeWalt shear attachment does cut well on flat sheet metal, but the head's tendency to swivel unless you hold close to the shear end makes cutting ribbed metal roofing a challenge. I have been working with tools for fifty years now, and suspect that with time, I'll get the hang of it. I've seen other brands that come with a handle attachment to better control the shear head and they appear a lot easier to handle and use. I was DeWalt loyal since i own and operate many DeWalt tools, but this is not their best by any means and I wish I had bought the competition instead.Read full review

ok cuts nice but disappointed
it will cut metal well but it wont cut through vinyl siding as it wont open up enough to go straight across the siding where it latches, it will cut siding but the flat part, I thought the jaws would open enough to cut like shears.Read full review

It’s a good product, but it’s not as functional as my older matco shears,, somewhat difficult to attach to dewalt drill ,once you get it fixed in place it’s fine, jaws do not open as wide as old shears, it might have trouble cross cutting pole barn steel,but I think it will still perform fine in most applications .Read full review
