DeWalt Deluxe !
Being fully vested in DeWalt cordless tools made the decision to buy this radio / charger over others easy. The radio sounds great. The Sub woofer really has excellent bass response.
Built in EQ is also a nice feature on a job site radio. More then enough volume for a job site also. The built in storage compartment is a little tricky to open and close. I would also prefer a hard wired plug Vs the Plug in Ac adapter provided. The controls are easy to use but also tucked in nicely under the carrying handle so it should hold up to being tossed around in the back of a truck without breaking.
Internal antenna is another nice feature. That was the first think to break on my old DeWalt radio. Time will tell but I’m happy so far that I pulled the trigger on this Bluetooth beauty !Read full review

Needs better bass speaker
When I received the unit it sounded great and Liked all the features and it was great for a couple of days. I was recharging a battery and it stated to make a pop sound every so often and the the bass speaker was making a noise like speaker cone was torn. After investigation this radio was built to Home Depot Specks so when you have a problem you must work thru Home Depot.Read full review

Best work radio on the market

I heard this toughsystem radio on a site one day and knew I had to have it. I’ve purchased it recently and it has been a part of my daily rig since. It’s big, but you quickly get used to carrying it around. It sounds fantastic with all genres of music and has an impressive bass response. Connectivity to Bluetooth devices and charging batteries are also welcome features, too! When it’s time to do our rough-ins, this radio is on nearly full blast and fills the building with music. Best portable radio I've ever used
This radio has been great to use! I get through most of a day on the base 1.3ah batteries that came with my first drill/driver kit, and haven't bothered to try the 6ah ones I have. Bluetooth connection works so much better than just about every other BT device I've used. No signal loss, static, skipping, etc unless I put a couple walls between my phone and the radio in the house. Every member of my family is amazed by the sound quality and crispness of the bass. Being water resistant means I can let the kids have music near the pool without worrying about them splashing it and killing it. I pulled all the speakers and receivers out of my barn and work shop after getting this, and just take it with me when I work in either. Means less equipment to deal with and less wires getting in the way. With the storage compartment I might just get an MP3 player, plug it into aux and USB, and lock it away out of the weather to save my phone since it won't fit.Read full review

I've been a plumber for over 33 years and a musician for longer than that and I never dreamed of being able to enjoy the sound quality that the Tough system unit produces....all can say is I'm glad I stuck with Dewalt over the years and invested my hard earned money into the Dewalt Tough System product line! The only complaints I have are that the big beautiful LED display would have been even better if it had a big clock with a alarm function added...(really, what the hell were you thinking Dewalt?), and I use a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 phone that doesn't fit in the undersized compartment.Read full review

What little the radio has been used the reception seemed pretty good.
