The very best rust treatment you can get,
The very best rust converter and stabiliser you can get. Ideally suited to vehicle underside component and chassis protection. On day 1, abrade all pars to be sprayed so any non-failed coating is keyed to accept a new paint layer, and so the rusty areas have all the outer scale and hard rust removed so their appearance is "ground ginger" (red-brown powder). CLEAN the areas thoroughly with a car shampoo and hot water and rinse. Allow 24 hours for the areas to dry out. On day 2, WIPE over thoroughly everywhere with pure (99.5% to 99.8%) ACETONE which is a powerful degreaser. The acetone evaporates straight away. MASK up any areas that you don't want painted. Then SPRAY a light coat of RC900. Wait 24 hours. DAY 3. Either add another layer of RC900 or over-coat with a tough/protective topcoat which could be an epoxy or oil-based paint for ultimate protection, then an underbody wax. I also use this product as a primer on individual steel components removed from the car that I renovate before refitting.Read full review

Best Rust Converter
This epoxy based rust converter is first class. Its easy to apply and leaves a hard almost 'shrink fit' coating over the areas being treated once it has cured. The product is a little pricey but one can goes a very long way. I would recommend this product over any other rust converter I have tried so far.Read full review

unlike other rust treatments....all useless in my opinion...this stuff sprays on and seems to form a very hard coating...actually incorporating the oxide chemically.it dries and hardens very quickly, becoming an attractive dark coating.i think if you wanted to leave it without painting you would probably be o.k..excellent all round.......one misgiving...I have no idea how it will perform over time.bmc.Read full review
