Program TV (Volume & Mute)

Nice remote, however; it will not program (tv- volume/mute) on older standard DVD receiver. This remote must be for HD receivers only. My receiver is a Model: R16-300 .

Programming RC66X to replace RC65 is not an easy task

By using written documentation in old DirecTV DVR / RC65 remote manual, on-line comments, and on-screen DVR guide, I failed to get the new RC66X remote to work. After many unsuccessful attempts to program, IAW above documentation, I decided to improvise and it "Worked." The wording used in the documentation above will lead you into an unrecoverable loop, which means you have to start over, again and again. I recognized the steps on-line worked with the original RC65 remote. However, like all newer things, developers tend to add stuff without documenting. So, I ignored what the on-screen guide sequence was directing me to do, I just put the number in to control my model Samsung 55-inch Flat-screen LED HDTV and it worked.
