For small jobs probably only drills you will need ever
In the past I've found one Dormer drill by the curb on the street and didn't use it for long time until I needed to drill few holes in some Ikea's metal bar - ordinary drills were giving up after few minutes (getting hot and blunt very quickly) and then I took dormer - drilled holes quickly and without any excessive heat, plus after drilling five holes bit was still sharp as at the beginning not like those normal black metal drills - that's why I chose Dormer now.
It's ideal for small and medium home diy, if you treat them wit respect they probably last much longer then ordinary drills in overall saving your money in long term.
Set comes in round box which imho it's also practical but you have to get used to it.
Quality and lifetime are brilliant for me and I would recommend Dormer brad for small home everyday use in your workshop until I will find better brand (this might not happen in very long time)Read full review

Dormer drills
Just been reminded, again, how good Dormer bits are. Had to drill 10mm through cast iron, cheap bits wouldn’t cut it, no problem for Dormer. Worth paying extra for the best !

Dormer drill bits are a cut above the rest.
I have tried many other brands and have happily returned to Dormer and been pleasantly reminded of the difference. I far less often find they snap and they retain a cutting head sharpness far better than any other I have tried. I had a piece of Aluminium that I had previously part drilled before snapping the bit. I finished the hole with a new Dormer Bit that successfully drilled through the other cobalt remains.Read full review
