Dale Winton life story.

Very interesting book. Dale describes his life from his childhood, through his teenage years and his struggles in his early days as a dj. Talks about the people he met and worked with and his days on Supermarket Sweep and other quiz shows he worked on. Took his life story up to 2002.A nice selection of photographs included in the book showing the young Dale with his parents and up to his days when he started working in television.Read full review...

Replacement for original.

Having known Dale since the beginning of the 80’s, he very kindly gave me a signed copy of his book, unfortunately it got lost between our mutual one time hometown of Nottingham, and my new residence.

He speaks of his ‘San Franciscan’ villa, living next door to my uncle and auntie, but he changed her name, so as not to upset anyone about what he wrote! This section was close to home to me, and the rest may open your eyes to what he went through to get where he was before his sad death.

Re- reading the book brought it all back.

If you loved/liked Dale off the TV, or radio if it comes to that, and haven’t read this, buy it, it’s a real insight to the man!

Dale Winton - My story

A very heartwarming and very emotional read, but also there was alot of humour in the book. A great autobiography to have. This is a great story. Dale is an excellent TV entertainer who always seems so full of life and happy. Surprising tragedies in his life, but full of admiration for the way that he has risen above them all and worked hard to get where he is today.

A good read.

I've always liked Dale Winton and I've enjoyed reading this book. He writes in a way that I find easy to read and the subject matter is interesting and varied. I particularly liked the photographs. The book itself looks very nice on my bookshelf.Read full review...
