Quality product easy to use

This is great for what it's designed for I bought it to check a second hand Motorhome that I'd bought, I couldn't detect any damp at all until I checked it with this unit, it found the very early stages of damp that was hidden behind a wooden panel no damage had been caused so I was able to nip it in the bud straight away, I've safeguarded my investment and have piece of mind now as I can't help rechecking the Motorhome brilliant bit of kit glad I bought it, it does have a feature where you can (when you are checking for damp in an awkward place) press a hold button and it captures the reading so you can then view it in better light. Good for monitoring wall moisture on the surface.

If you want something to monitor moisture levels in your wall to see if the moisture is disappearing this will do the job. if you want acurate readings you will need to spend a lot more for that. For me it is doing what I need it to do. It has no way of penetrating below the surface and that reading can be a different story. Solid robust feel

Good solid robust feel and easy to use. The audible peeps indicating the level of moisture, the more the peeps the more the moisture are useful for quickly deciding whether a piece of wood is ready for the fire. It says on the package for metal wood and walls.
It is for wood only.
There is 5 selections of types of wood I do not know what type of wood my caravan is. There is no selection for brick.
Disappointed a waste of money and always a hassle to return things.
You have to push the sharps prongs into the wood.

better written instructions would improve understanding for isers

very well made, the only minus remark i would make is that the written instructions could be better, example it did not explain there was a film covering the screen to be removed and as this cover had a printed image on it I thought when batteries were inserted that i could not switch the meter on as the screen image did not change, it mat sound obvious but it was not obvious that there was a printed film covering the screen,
once spotted and peeled off everything worked fine, seems robust and well made, cannot comment on performance as yet to be tested in the real world , but all looks goodRead full review...

Avery good meter

I bought this for checking the moisture content of wood for wood turning. The meter seems to work very well, though you have to take several readings because even in a smaller bit of wood the moisture content can vary, (i.e. the cut ends have more moisture than the outer surface).

Easy to use and worked well

I used this meter effectively to locate where damp was coming from in an attic. I found it easier to use the general one, two, or three, drop symbols to indicate dry, medium, or wet surfaces rather than the actual number shown. For some reason the maximum wetness number shown is '50' (rather than 100%) when I placed the probes in a glass of water but that was not a problem for me.Read full review...
