Hard to beat Dewalt
After using a corded oscillating tool for years with no light and a bolt on blade, I got to use one of these that a friend had. By the end of our project I was shopping for one! Already owning other 20volt Dewalt tools, batteries and a charger made it a great choice. It is also well balanced and much quieter than my old corded model. I did look at several other brands, and there a few that are comparable for a little less money. My decision was based on using the tool before buying, and already having a charger and spare batteries. In my opinion when it comes to power tools, its hard to beat Dewalt.Read full review

Not variable speed
I just want to let people know that this is not a variable speed tool. You may be able to control the speed with some magical power but I have now such thing at my disposal so i consider this a two speed tool, off and on. I sort of think the tool landed in the hands of the marketing team at DeWalt and they said “hey look, when you pull the trigger a little it goes slower! We can call it variable speed!” It’s a fact that it’s speed changes depending on how much you pull the trigger but there is no way to control it unless you’re just sitting at a table somewhere holding it. Otherwise it does what I bought it to do, oscillate back and forth while holding an accessory. It oscillates loudly though.Read full review

Maybe The Best Multitool
I keep finding more uses for this every week(end). The easy blade change makes setting up a snap even for small projects. Who wants a tool that takes 5 minutes to set up for a 30 second job? The variable speed is a real eye opener after using a single speed tool. The 20v lithium power is adequate for almost any job you might consider, and vibration is minimal. The only downside is that the blades are a little hard to find. Luckily Harbor Freight blades are made to fit Dewalt.Read full review

Great piece of equipment
Received this unit and was able to use the 20 v max batteries that I already had. I used it to make cuts that conventional saws are not capable of doing. Handy tool to have. Lite weight, no cord to worry with, plenty of power and long lasting. I like the universal accessory adapter. Quick and easy to change between saw blade and sanding attachments. Highly recommend.Read full review

Pleasant surprise
Ordered this tool to cut out a vinyl window I’m about to replace (had seen an installer use one on another project). In the mean time I’ve used it for two other projects & it’s fantastic! (Already had the DeWalt batteries from other tools.) Been pleased with the entire family of tools. Good build. Good power. Good value. Read full review

A whole new world!
DeWalt has been my choice in the electrical field for over twenty years and adding the oscillating tool was a bonus!
Cutting outlet boxes out is so much easier because all you do is cut the box support from the nail, pull the box out with the wires and then remove the nails.
Plunge cuts for cabinets when adding outlets in the island, a breeze. Under cabinet
light installation, easy. Cutting plaster with sheetrock behind it, no problem!
You must have the right blade for the material and those can be found on the web. One caveat about some blades is that they are not quick fit. An adapter comes with the multi-tool so you can use any blade but it is hex. I'd much rather use the DeWalt quick adapter to get the job done quicker, this comes installed already on the tool.Read full review

This oscillating tool is good for big and little jobs.
I have a corded one, but a job was coming where I had very little access to power. I cannot tell the difference, as far the strength and functionality, between the powered one versus the battery operated one. One of the characteristics that I like the most is the easy-to-change-blades system. A+Read full review

Great tool at a great price. Excellent customer service
This cordless oscillating saw is amazing. the trigger mechanism instead of an on/off switch is one of its best features. The harder you press the trigger the faster it works. This allows for a soft start. It does not bind up when making hard cuts. I primarily use it to undercut casing and door jams as I am a floor installer. The batteries last a long time. If you have a set of 20 volt cordless drill and impact driver Dewalt's 20 V system works with all of their tools. If you buy one of these tools you will not regret it.Read full review

Got a battery (my misunderstanding - photo showed a battery - I just ass-u-med) and this is a very useful tool. Ever DIY’er should have one!!
This was a “bare tool” (didn’t really include all the tool accessories) - I didn’t realize that. It is a quality tool and works well although I would not have ordered a bare tool.
