A very different Dead Space.

Dead Space series is one of the best horror shooter games around today. It has a great story line and some very unique enemies to kill. Some really creepy stuff happens on this game. The control to the game is really smooth far as combat and working around in the game enviroment. Dead Space 3 is very different than the other 2. You have to find material and blueprints to build your weapons and there are only Suit Kiosks and benches around and also unlike the others, it only has automatic save or Save and Quit for the game. I have played this game many times and I still enjoy playing after all these years. It is a tradition for me to play Dead Space as a treat for myself at Halloween. Scary good stuff. You really do get to feeling real sorry for Isaac and the mess he gets into in Dead Space 3.........What in the Necromorph can happen next to him. Read full review...

Dead Space 3 not perfect but still full of intense moments and scares.

Dead Space 3 brings survival horror to the PS3 in a way that other big hit survival horror franchises wish they could scare gamers. The planet environment surprisingly works to bring up scares. The graphics are good, the suits and necromorphs have beautiful detail, even players that have played the previous two titles can play the game and appreciate the little details. The game kept plenty of intensity that it always had. The new weapon crafting is a nice wrinkle. Players can share blueprints with weapons between each other. The only problem is that once you build one or two weapons there isn't much need to craft any more weapons.
The MAIN negative that detracts from the game is the saving system. I can't tell you how many times I had to replay areas of the game because of the built in save system. When you quit you can choose to save and quit but it just save the inventory and you have to hope and pray that the next time you play you wont have to replay too much of the game. It makes it so that you never want to quit or even start. A second thing is the area does seem huge, but there are so many doors/which requires loading and most of the world looks the same.Read full review...

Brutally honest Dead Space 3 Review

Dead space 3 tkes place a fiew months after soul survivors Isaac Clarke and Ellie narrowly escape a massive space station called the Sprawl infested with alien creatures called Necromorphs. Issac suffering dementia and guilt over the losss of his ex girlfriend and apparant break up with Ellie, leaves him more broken as a character. Honestly he feels less like a three dementional and realistic character, and taking away the visual effects of his demenita during play bugged me because it was a key part of DS2. The story felt sloppy and un inspired with fetch quests go here get three of these fix this so on and so forth. The new features introduce full drop in and drop out co-op wich works beautifully and honestly the better way to go if possible because the added cut scenes inlude more story and more interesting side quests and Carver is the more interesting character. The other new feature is the ability to craft and customise weapons wich was innitially confusing but with a little time became one of my favorite parts of the expierience for exaple you can get schematics for say a gun that shoots blades you can in fuse that with say acid so the gun gets that more awesome the only limit is your imagination when it comes to guns in that respect. But on a side note the benches are placed in really stupid places I found myself backtracking a fiew times because I needed ammo or health. The new enemys are really scary and interesting to find out how to dispatch each new one and the inclusion of human enemys surprisingly was really well done and really fun. All in all Dead space 3 was really fun the story was pretty weak but the increadibly well done game play completly made up for all the shortcomings and drawbacks.Read full review...

a 100% must have

this is a must have for players who made it threw 1 and 2 .trust me 3 will not disappoint. very challenging game play. made it to level three with much hard work then the controller died. sucks! need to buy a new one. so far, for PS3 this is one of the best games worth playing. A noticeable change in dead spaces atmosphere, not for the better.

This is for those who are seasoned dead space players, or at least familiar with the first two games. Dead space 3 is, unfortunately, a wrong turn off of the path that lead the first two games to success. Its entertaining and introduces new ideas and situations for Isaac. However, simultaneously disrupts the classic dead space atmosphere. An attempt is made to change the kind of survival methods the player uses, for example in the first two dead spaces it was the scarcity of ammo - which lead you to count your shots and choose carefully between weapons - this game introduces a resource finding and crafting system. I never once had a problem with ammo. Its much easier to play compared to the first two, and has much less darkness. This game is a moderate shift from classic survival/action-horror dead space to more of a survival-action. I didn't like it that much, but it had its moments of creativity. If you're looking for an easier dead space to play with less horror and atmosphere then perhaps this game is for you, otherwise don't expect to be enthralled by any of the classical dead space aspects. (I preferred the original weapons set-up where you used what seemed to be an arsenal of powerful tools and rationed your ammo. The current system is to craft and modify these tools using scavenged parts, and resources which can universally be applied to creating ammo, nodes, med packs etc... "Great re-play value"

This game goes right along with the rest of the story line. First time around it's harder than the first two games but it has great re-play value.
