Poker is big money these days, with the game finding an unprecedented amount of popularity among both players and spectators. Tommy Vinson, a former Texas Hold ‘Em champion who gave up the game twenty years ago to lead a honest life. Life is costing more than the retirement money he put aside.Tom wants to enjoy his retirement years traveling with his wife, but economic downturns have reduced their money to less than adequate for their lives. But when he accidentally watches a poker tournament on TV, his eye is caught by Alex Stillman, a promising young player.Alex is battling with his parents, particularly his dad who wants him to settle down into a law clerkship to make money for law school.Vinson ends up staking Stillman the money he needs to compete, and the two form a tenuous partnership.This young man knows that he has an affinity for poker and is willing to learn from the expert to hone his game and take it to a professional level.But Stillman’s ego ends up getting in the way, and after scoring with the still gorgeous Shannon Elizabeth (who is actually a hooker), he splits from Vinson’s tutelage. Who will this kid be facing off across the table in the final game of the tournament?You will have to watch to find out.
