Retro Gold.

If you're looking for a cd to add to your collection of funk, soul and groove then this is it. Booker T & the M.G's were instrumental in the musical direction that helped create the Memphis Soul sound. As background musicians for some incredible artists they were part of music history, but as artists in their own right they were pretty phenomenal.

This two disc collection covers numerous albums and hits. A couple of tracks are, in my humble opinion, filler flops and can be quite distracting from what could have been a somewhat flawless collection. Throw the awesome tracks in a mix with the likes of Aretha, James Brown, Otis, even the likes of Jefferson Starship or some swinging 60's sounds and you are on your way to one heck of a cool retro party.
