If you're a serious fan then it is a must have, if you're new and would like to have the early albums in one sitting then this is a good deal since you get to have some out of print releases. The description all ready tells about the content, the sound quality is excellent in addition to the remastering of the five early albums. The book is over 50 pages of glossy photos, art work, newspaper clippings, Steve Wilson's bio and history of Porcupine Tree. I am a purist and old school 70s prog but Porcupine Tree meets my standards. They may have come out late in the 90s but they surely were able to fuse the old and new prog perfectly. They are a fusion of psychedelic, classic hard rock, ambient, electronica,jazz, pop, metal etc. Steve Wilson is a genius composer and multi instrumentalist, veteran keyboardist ex Japan Richard Barbieri, Gavin Harrison whose drumming is admired by legendary prog drummer Bill Buford and fretless bassist extraordinare Colin Edwin all have pursued solo careers but their legacy and collective effort Porcupine Tree remains an enigma and will rank along side iconic prog bands Pink Floyd, Yes, Tangerine Dream.
