It's a great Laptop. It is a full featured Intel CPU with the ability to use PCIe NVMe B+M key or M key M.2 Sata 2280MM. In addition, can use a 2.5" Sata SSD. The Intel CPU is fast, quiet and run cool. Can install Linux after disable secure boot in BIOS. Can use two (2) drives at the same time; well, M.2 2242mm or 2.5 HDD/SSD. Dell Laptops work great using Linux. The M.2 2280 SSD work best producing less heat dispensation. The M.2 SSD kit is easy to install. Overall, it's a decent Business Laptop. Not a gaming Laptop period. Tested the WWLAN slot for booting and worked. Ordered a M.2 2242MM NGFF SSD 512GB to install.Read full review

Hinges are not very sturdy. They have a lot of sway to them. Bottom of the laptop gets hot. Even under light load. Machine itself appears to be made of cheap thin materials. On the positive side it does run well. Read full review

Sturdy, Fast, Well-Built Laptop!

As a lifelong Dell customer, with having purchased everything from servers, to both business and gaming desktops, a few laptops and a good number of laser printers, I can confidently say this Lattitude 5480 laptop is another winner from Dell. There's so much to like about it. It's light and easy to pack in a variety of backpacks and satchels. Although it is rather thin, it's very sturdy. It cold boots and restarts very quickly. The screen is bright and easy on the eyes. The keyboard has an excellent tactile feel. I have yet to find any incompatibilities with my peripherals. I pretty much carry it with me wherever I go.
