Nice Audio with a Performance Glitch

I have been favorably impressed by the audio quality of this receiver even though it does not match the performance of higher-end receivers I have owned. I suppose at its price point, this receiver is all one would expect. My only disappointment with the AVR 1912 is that it has the same problem I experienced with an AVR 1712. It has a complication with electronic switching to sources. If one turns the receiver on with an input such as "cable" selected, the receiver will not automatically pass on the HDMI signal to the TV or the audio to the speakers. One must change inputs and come back to the original source for it to work. I suspect some owners of the AVR 1912 have not figured out this trick and I also suspect the problem may one day become unaffected by the trick since, on their own, problems with electronics tend to get worse with time rather than better.
